Yes, if someone calls you, you will have to pay for the roaming fee, since you’re using a roaming SIM. However, if you use the OFW SIM card, your families and friends here in the Philippines can just text you at local rates (and you won’t get charged for it).
I suggest you maintain your OFW SIM (to receive free texts) and get a US SIM card and ask your families and friends to call you from there using tipIDD card or IDD Sakto Calls. You won’t be charged when that happens.
It costs P10 to send an SMS to Singapore using Postpaid, but if your friend is using an OFW Family Pack SIM in Singapore, it costs only P1 for you.
If you’d like to save more on SMS, best to register to ITXT. Just text ITXT 50 to 8888 and get 100 texts good for 10 days.

Dial 1286 then select a language. After selecting a language, enter the 12-digit PIN.
Then dial 00 + 44 + cellphone number. The area code for mobile phones is usually operator-specific (ex. in our case, 917 is for Globe, 918 for Smart, etc). Hope that helps!
Yes I did dial 1286 including the 12 digits.. When the operator asked me to enter the phone number I dialled 00 44 441404****** to no success.. it’s telling me that the number is invalid or something..

Signapore’s country code is 65. If you’re calling the OFW SIM, it’s considered a roaming call. That means you pay the standard 6.50/min per call, but the person abroad has to pay for the roaming rates received due to the call. Don’t know how much that person has to pay though.

maybe that no.is not used anymore by the user.First if he/she call on you so tell her/him why his/her no. is a non working no.or you may send him a text message.Then the best let him/her buy another roaming sim in that country so that u can call her/him.Ok?

hi globe! my husband is working as a seaman. yung byahe po nila is florida. he’s using an ofw sim and im using the family sim here in philippines. pwede po ba syang tumawag sa amin dito sa phil. and what card will he use? how much is the rate?

i have the same question as rachel. “how to deactivate the expired globe tipid IDD card to enter a new globe IDD pin”. Last time I used Globe IDD ginamit ko yung *5 for pin-less. I have bought a new IDD card and been wanting to enter the new pin by dialing 1286 first pero all I can hear is ‘This account had been expired’. Called custsvc but they can’t seem to give me a procedure to deactivate the previous pin. They have advised me to:
1. dial 1286*9 —-> didn’t work
2. press *9 then dial 1286 —> didn’t work either
3. dial 1286, wait for the voice prompt to finish then press *9 —> i waited for the voice prompt to finish (it disconnects) then dialed *9 (it says “requesting” then nothing)
None of the above ever actually worked. Customer service seems to be clueless as to how to solve said issue. They give different instructions, promise to do something about it, yet never even returns any feedback.

ginawa ko ng lahat ung 1286, *5, lahat ng pwedeng gawin sa number na tinatawagan ko nilagyan ko nman ng 00 cc at a.code pero wala pa din
