Hi Musa,

You have to have a Globe postpaid plan to be able to use G-webcall.

Using your globe postpaid phone, just send a txt with the ff message "GWEB ON" to 2865 and Globe will reply with your username and password.

For more information you can visit their site: https://g-webcall.com/

I've been trying out the G-webcall service and so far, it's been a hit and miss. Lately it's been difficult to get a call through and calls are very choppy.

From the user interface it seems this service is still on trial mode. The voice prompt is not even professionally done yet. Hopefully, Globe can improve on this service because it can be very useful for their post paid subscribers.

Currently, this service is designed for Filipinos based in the Philippines who travel abroad. Thus, they need to register their Globe post-paid phone with the G-Webcall service.

Most OFWs do not have a Globe post-paid phone. Thus, they'll need to get the help of a Tito Boy who HAS a Globe post-paid phone.

The pre-paid card idea is interesting though. That's something globe should consider.

Why make such thing as prepaid card so OFW can skip tito Boy example. Most OFW have prepaid card for their roaming celphones for globe. Why not make use of this loading card to load G-webcall. In that way OFW can make use of G-webcall if its cheaper.
Godbless!

[...] Ideal for: Jetsetters with a computer abroad, calling the Philippines. With some creativity, it could work for OFWs calling home too. [...]
